How we review
HerbReview is written by a small editorial team. Our goal is simple: help people in India understand what is inside a supplement before they buy it.
What we check for every product
- The label: brand, composition, amounts (when given), dosage, warnings and the FSSAI licence number.
- The offer: price, pack size and how long a pack lasts.
- Look-alikes: prescription medicines and other products with similar names that people confuse with it.
- Safety: who should not take it and which medicines it may interact with, based on each ingredient.
- Research: what independent sources — such as the US National Institutes of Health, the National Eye Institute, Cochrane and the WHO — say about the ingredients.
What we do not do
- We do not test products on people and do not publish “before and after” stories.
- We do not invent customer reviews, star ratings or doctors.
- We do not give medical advice. Our pages explain; your doctor decides.
- We do not rank products as “best”. Lists on the site change order daily and are not ratings.
How we make money
When you send an order form on a review page, the request goes to the seller, and we may receive a commission. This keeps the site free. It does not change our safety sections, which are written from the ingredient list, not from sales.
How we treat marketing claims
Many packs carry promises. We quote them only in quotation marks, say whose words they are, and state clearly that we do not confirm them. Under Indian law (the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act, FSSAI rules and the ASCI Code), supplements must not be advertised as cures, and we follow that.
Updates and corrections
Every page shows the date of its last update. When a seller shares a fuller label, when research changes or when a reader points out a mistake, we update the page. To report an error, use our contact form.
